Sophia Hancock provides strategic, operational, and programmatic support for various TPI clients. She brings strong organizational skills to all projects that she works on and enjoys helping clients establish systems to help them manage their philanthropy more effectively. She helps manage multiple scholarship and college success programs for clients, regularly communicating with students and supporting them to succeed in college and beyond. Sophia brings to her work at TPI a passion for environmental justice, ending food insecurity, and increasing access to quality education.
Prior to joining TPI in early 2021, Sophia was the volunteer and administrative coordinator at Women’s Lunch Place in Boston. Before that, she participated in Americorps VISTA at Mill City Grows, a food justice organization, in Lowell, Massachusetts. Sophia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with a minor in Creative Writing from Goucher College. While in college, she was a teaching assistant and was an environmental justice intern at the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.
A Massachusetts native, Sophia now lives in Roslindale, Massachusetts, and enjoys reading as well as caring for her collection of plants and her dog Momo.
