Eliza (Ellie) Galer supports a number of TPI clients, currently with emphasis on college access and success programs. In addition to providing grantmaking, research, and administrative support to several scholarship programs managed by TPI, Ellie supports family foundation clients. Ellie brings expertise in the area of immigration and is particularly passionate about equal education access, voting rights, and democracy.

Prior to joining TPI, Ellie worked for the Children’s Law Center of Massachusetts, first as an immigration advocate with the AmeriCorps Legal Advocates, and then as a Civil Legal Aid to Victims of Crime (CLAVC) paralegal. While in college, she interned for current Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, who was then a City-Councilor at Large. Ellie holds a Bachelor of Political Science and Sociology degree from Macalester College. When not at work, Ellie follows Boston’s sports teams, reads, and enjoys the outdoors, live music and trying new restaurants. Originally from Massachusetts’ South Shore, she now lives in Boston.
