Overview

The Bosch Community Fund is the regional corporate foundation for Bosch in North America. Beginning in 2025, the Fund expanded its grantmaking efforts to include Mexico, supporting organizations that are creating stronger, more resilient communities through education, environmental stewardship, and disaster preparedness.

The Bosch Community Fund is partnering with The Philanthropic Initiative (TPI) to administer a grantmaking program focused on advancing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and environmental sustainability in Mexico. Together, Bosch and TPI seek to identify and support nonprofit organizations that are developing innovative solutions to local challenges while creating long-term positive impact. 

This initiative is designed to support projects that foster systemic change, strengthen communities, and create sustainable outcomes for future generations

Grant Strategy & Focus Areas

The Bosch Community Fund seeks projects that create lasting community impact and help address critical environmental, educational, and resilience-related challenges across Mexico. Funding is available in the following focus areas:

STEM Education | Support innovative, project-based STEM learning opportunities that strengthen the talent pipeline and address gaps in science education. Priority will be given to initiatives that:

• Advance workforce development and STEM career pathways.
• Address documented disparities in STEM access and participation, particularly among underserved communities and women and girls.
• Provide hands-on, inquiry-based STEM learning experiences.
• Serve secondary school students, technical and vocational learners, post-secondary students, and workforce development populations. 

Environmental Sustainability | Support the conservation and restoration of natural resources and the development of resilient communities. Priority areas include:

• Biodiversity and natural resource preservation.
• Water conservation, reuse, and watershed health.
• Pollution reduction and environmental stewardship.
• Waste reduction, management, and recycling. 

Eco-STEM | Support programs that combine environmental education with project-based STEM learning. Priority consideration will be given to initiatives that:

• Connect students and communities to environmental science and sustainability.
• Prepare learners for careers in the green economy and environmental sectors. 

Natural Disaster Preparedness & Resilience | Support organizations working to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural disasters. Priority areas include:

• Preparedness and risk-reduction efforts.
• Emergency response and relief activities.
• Long-term recovery and community resilience.
• Development of rapid deployment tools and preparedness strategies tailored to the Mexican context.

This is a one-year grant program. Award amounts will vary based on organizational capacity, project scope, and budget needs. Individual grant awards may not exceed 10% of an organization’s annual operating budget. Through this initiative, Bosch Community Fund aims to build long-term relationships with nonprofit partners and support sustainable impact beyond a single grant cycle.

Eligibility Criteria

• The organization must have received an invitation to apply from The Bosch Community Fund.
• The organization must have registered nonprofit status in Mexico.
• Must have “Donataria Autorizada” status with SAT to receive tax-deductible donations.
• Must be able to issue Digital Federal Tax Receipts (CFDI) compliant with current tax requirements.
• Alternatively, applicants may apply by partnering with a registered fiscal sponsor that holds the required “Donataria Autorizada” status and meets all necessary tax registration and CFDI issuance requirements.
• Exclusions: Religious organizations, political campaigns, and individuals are ineligible.
• Geographic focus: Mexico (local, regional, or national scope).
