Kelsey Brennan provides strategic, operational, and programmatic support for various TPI clients. She works with families, foundations, and companies to design and implement effective grantmaking programs. Kelsey supports clients in clarifying their philanthropic goals, developing funding strategies, and building strong relationships with grantees to maximize impact.   

Kelsey brings more than nine years of experience in public policy, research, and social impact, with a focus on advancing effective, mission-driven programs across government and academia. Prior to joining TPI, Kelsey served as a foreign affairs officer in the U.S. Department of State’s Trafficking in Persons Office, where she led policy and diplomatic initiatives across Africa and Europe, advised senior government officials, and supported multi-million-dollar programs. Her work contributed to measurable improvements in global anti-trafficking efforts, earning her multiple awards for leadership and impact. 

Earlier in her career, Kelsey worked in the Massachusetts State Senate, where she directed communications strategy and supported legislative initiatives. She holds a Master of Public and International Affairs and a B.A. in political science, both from the University of Pittsburgh.
