Senior Program Associate

Sophia Hancock supports TPI staff and clients through program management, research, and administrative support for a variety of client engagements and ongoing projects. She is particularly passionate about environmental justice and ending food insecurity, as well as access to quality education.

Prior to joining TPI in early 2021, Sophia was the volunteer and administrative coordinator at Women’s Lunch Place in Boston. Before that, she participated in Americorps VISTA at Mill City Grows in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Sophia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with a minor in Creative Writing from Goucher College. While in college, she was a teaching assistant and was an environmental justice intern at the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.

A Massachusetts native, Sophia now lives in Malden, Massachusetts, and enjoys reading as well as caring for her collection of plants, including the challenge of growing new and different types of plants.
